The family of Puissant frames for when only performance matters
Where Tradition Meets Innovation
The HTech Puissant range represents a significant leap forward in road bike technology, an embodiment of our relentless pursuit of the perfect bicycle frame. Its smooth, comfortable ride must be experienced first hand to be fully appreciated. The name Puissant means to 'convey both power and influence', reflecting a frame that challenges preconceptions about wood as a bicycle material.
Developed over three years of intensive research, development, and testing, the Puissant stands apart from our machined hardwood frames. Enter HRP, a material lighter and stronger than machined timber. With precise control over each tube’s layup, we’ve achieved a frame that surpasses all other wooden bikes available in both weight and stiffness. Yet, remarkably, it retains the compliance that sets our machined frames apart.
The Puissant’s classic lugged design is timeless, never falling out of favour. But it’s more than aesthetics, it’s a harmonious blend of carbon fiber and timber, a fusion of tradition and modernity. The geometry caters to performance road cycling, where HRP tubes provide the ideal balance of stiffness and comfort. Equally at home conquering mountain roads or at your local cafe, the Puissant turns heads with its contrasting lugs and natural wood grain. Its a work of art you can ride.
Currently available in two models, the Puissant range caters to all cyclists. Choose the standard Puissant (CF) for uncompromising performance or opt for the lightweight special edition (W), tipping the scales at just over 1000g. Whichever you choose, the Puissant promises an unparalleled experience, a testament to craftsmanship and innovation.
